HOCM
-
HOCM filtration media is an oxidative catalytic filter material that effectively removes iron and manganese from water. It appears rough and is dark brown to black in color. Through a low-cost catalytic oxidation and filtration process, under proper conditions, it also functions to remove arsenic.
HOCM is one of the few oxidative catalytic filtration media certified under NSF/ANSI 61 for drinking water.
To meet global drinking water standards, iron and manganese can be removed through various water treatment methods. However, traditional iron removal processes involving expensive chemicals, labor costs, energy consumption, operational and maintenance expenses are considered outdated. Manganese removal, in particular, is challenging and costly.
HOCM is currently the most advanced oxidative catalytic filtration media globally. Its unique porous structure increases the oxidation surface area, accelerating the removal rates of iron and manganese. It represents the most cost-effective and efficient method for iron and manganese removal.
Under proper usage conditions, HOCM filtration media can last at least 3 to 5 years.
Product Characteristics-
Can be used with a small amount of catalyst: Achieves optimal iron and manganese removal with the addition of a small amount of sodium hypochlorite, eliminating the need for additional equipment such as settling tanks, aeration tanks, or coagulants.
-
pH Stability: Operates effectively within a pH range of 5.8 to 8.6, ensuring stable performance regardless of the original water pH.
-
High Filtration Flow: Offers a filtration flow rate twice that of conventional filter media (L.V. 10-30 m³/h).
-
Low Operating Costs: Besides regular backwashing, no additional chemicals are required for regeneration.
-
Strong Iron and Manganese Removal: Reduces iron concentrations in water from 10 mg/L to below 0.01 mg/L.
-
Long Service Life: With normal use and regular backwashing, it can last at least 3-5 years.
-
Cost-Effective: Compared to other iron removal media on the market, HOCM filtration not only leads in performance but also offers competitive pricing.
