RO Membrane Cleaner PHS-106
-
PHS-106 is a cleaning agent specifically designed for cleaning RO (Reverse Osmosis), NF (Nanofiltration), and UF (Ultrafiltration) membrane modules.
Its main component is anionic surfactants, making it highly effective in removing colloids and organic substances. When used in conjunction with biocides, it is also highly effective in eliminating biofilms.
Product Characteristics-
Highly effective in removing organic substances
-
High concentration of active ingredients
-
Liquid form for easy storage and convenient use
Cleaning Procedure-
Begin with a low-pressure rinse using product water to remove concentrate and contaminants accumulated during operation
-
Dilute PHS-106 with chlorine-free RO permeate water to prepare a solution at a concentration of 2.0 to 4.0% w/w, with a pH range of 10 to 10.5. For optimal efficacy, it is recommended to perform the cleaning at a higher temperature (approximately 30 – 35°C). Consult membrane and system manufacturers to determine the most suitable cleaning pH and temperature
-
During cleaning, use the initial 20% of the cleaning solution for rinsing the membrane tubes, then discard it. Do not recycle it into the RO cleaning tank. Also, discharge the water pushed out from the system during this process. Cleaning should be performed in stages
-
The duration of cleaning depends on the nature and extent of fouling in the membrane tubes. Typically, cleaning lasts for 1 to 2 hours. It is advisable to alternate between circulation and soaking every 15 minutes. For severe fouling, overnight soaking may be necessary
-
After soaking, a brief circulation should yield satisfactory cleaning results
-
Conclude the cleaning procedure with a low-pressure rinse using product water to eliminate any residual chemicals
-
Before bringing the system online, during the initial 5 to 20 minutes of the water collection phase or longer, discharge the collected water to ensure no residual cleaning agents remain in the feed water
